THESE BEAUTIFULLY EXECUTED TUDOR OAK PANELS WOULD HAVE MOST PROBABLY BEEN PART OF A RETABLE. EACH PANEL DEPICTS A SCENE FROM THE BIBLE- ONE PANEL DEPICTS THE ACCOUNT OF ABRAHAM AND ISAAC, THE SECOND DEPICTS THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST, FLANKED BY ANGELS AND SLEEPING SOLDIERS, THE THIRD DEPICTS THE BAPTISM OF CHRIST WITH GOD FLANKED BY THE SUN AND MOON, ANGELS TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT AND THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THE CENTRE.
